We arrange dangerous goods transport after checking the specific substance or item, safety data sheet (SDS), packaging and entire route. Before approaching a carrier, we explain what information and approvals are needed.

Determining whether transport preparation can begin

For dangerous goods, space cannot be promised based on a product name alone. We gather information on composition, class if available, quantity, packaging and route, then check it against the requirements of each leg and the available carrier.

  • What is the cargo?

    Name, composition, UN number and class, if known. Tell us whether a safety data sheet (SDS) is available.

  • How it is packed

    Package count, weight, volume and container type. We request packaging photos if needed for the check.

  • Where and when

    Origin and destination cities, possible transshipments and cargo readiness date.

What we check before shipment

Road, sea and air legs have different requirements. The decision depends on the entire batch and route.

  1. Classification

    We check composition, UN number, quantity and containers. The product name alone does not determine transport conditions.

  2. Route

    We check restrictions on each leg and possible transshipments, as well as the destination country.

  3. Carrier

    We clarify whether the contractor will accept the cargo and which documents, labelling and conditions it requires.

Price for your cargo

After checking the cargo, we will request a carrier quote. We will separately show the OZTA fee and other expenses. After an initial review, we will tell you when the estimate will be ready. We agree the price and terms before payment.

Carrier

The carrier's quotation depends on the route, cargo, packaging, loading and applicable restrictions.

OZTA coordination

For transport ordered separately, the OZTA coordination fee is 10% of the carrier’s confirmed price, with a minimum of $20 per agreed assignment. If coordination is already included in a paid package, there is no second fee.

Warehousing, packing, customs services, import charges, insurance and banking costs are separate.

If packaging, warehouse work or documents are needed, we will show the provider’s price and the OZTA coordination fee: 10% of the work price, with a minimum of $20 per agreed assignment. There is no second fee for coordination already included in the package. We will list government charges and the insurance premium separately, without applying an OZTA percentage fee.

Questions about dangerous goods

What is ADR?

These are rules for international carriage of dangerous goods by road. Sea and air legs have separate requirements; the conditions of one leg cannot be applied to the entire route.

Do you transport every hazard class?

This cannot be promised in advance. Feasibility depends on the specific substance or item, its quantity, packaging, route and available carrier. After review, we will explain whether transport can be offered.

What should I do if a safety data sheet is not available yet?

Include composition and a technical description in your request, if available. We will explain what information to request from the supplier. We will not book the cargo until sufficient information is available.

Are batteries and varnishes always considered dangerous goods?

A product name alone is insufficient. We check composition, specifications, quantity and packaging against documents for the specific item, then review the selected transport method's conditions.

When will the delivery time be known?

We provide an indicative timeframe after checking the cargo, route and carrier's offer. It depends on documents, consignment readiness and the conditions of each leg.

Can it be shipped together with ordinary cargo?

We check shared loading with the carrier for the specific cargo, containers and route. It cannot be promised before this check.
