International delivery includes collection from the seller, a possible warehouse, the main route, the border and handover to the recipient. We combine these stages into one plan: identify contractors, handover terms, documents and costs for each leg. Before work begins, you can see what is included and what must be agreed for the next stage.
Choose a route for the cargo task
We compare origin and destination points, goods, packaging and acceptable timing. We then compare transport options and contractors; for special cargo, we separately check packaging, document and authorisation requirements for each leg.
Build a transparent estimate and scope
We separate transport, warehousing, clearance, insurance and other applicable costs. We mark confirmed items, seller data and anything that will be clarified after receipt, weighing or measuring so changed parameters do not come as a surprise.
Manage the agreed shipment stages
After agreeing the price and terms, we record where the cargo is received, which actions and documents are needed before the next stage and how status updates are shared. If parameters or contractor terms change, we agree the next step before new commitments.
Every shipment needs its own method

What makes up the price
We start with a carrier quote for the specific route. Other work and expenses are shown separately.
Carrier price + OZTA coordination
We add the OZTA coordination fee to the carrier’s confirmed price: 10%, with a minimum of $20 per agreed assignment. We will show the full cost after receiving a quote.
No repeat fee
If transport organisation is already included in a paid package, we do not charge it again.

Warehousing, packing, customs services, import charges, insurance and banking costs are separate.
What may be separate
Warehousing and packaging
Storage, repacking and additional operations are calculated under the specific warehouse terms when needed for the shipment.
Clearance and import charges
Services of an authorised contractor, applicable duties and taxes are listed separately. OZTA’s percentage does not apply to government charges.
Insurance
If insurance is needed, we show the premium and terms of the specific policy. There is no OZTA markup on the insurance premium.
A preliminary estimate based on seller data may change after receipt, weighing and measuring. Before payment, we agree the scope and how the price may be adjusted.
Choose transport for the whole shipment
We choose the method based on the goods, route, volume and required date. We compare the whole chain: suitable transport, terminals and transshipments, handover terms and delivery to the address. The offer explains how options differ for your cargo, not just the price of one leg. Availability, timing and final price are confirmed for the specific cargo and route.
Air freight
For urgent cargo accepted by the air carrier. We check packaging, chargeable weight, airports and available flights.
Sea freight
A dedicated container or space in a consolidated shipment. The estimate includes the port, terminal and delivery from the port to the recipient.
Road transport
A dedicated truck or space in consolidated cargo. We check addresses, borders, transshipment and route documents.
Rail
We compare rail transport with other options and include terminals, transshipment and delivery to your address.
What exactly are you shipping?
The product category affects packaging, documents and transport choice. Review your category’s features and send a description of the specific purchase or cargo for an estimate.
Questions before dispatch
What exactly will the delivery estimate include?
The price depends on the route, goods, number of packages, weight, dimensions and packaging. The estimate will list transport, warehousing, packaging, insurance, clearance and delivery to the address separately; we will identify what is confirmed and what depends on the actual cargo details. If an external carrier does the work, we will list their price and the OZTA coordination fee: 10% of the work price, with a minimum of $20 per agreed assignment, unless it is already included in another service.
When is air, sea or road transport more cost-effective?
Air may suit urgent cargo compatible with air transport. Sea and rail suit batches where volume and distance matter. We consider road transport for routes with suitable crossings and last-mile delivery. We compare modes after checking documents, transshipments, availability and acceptable timing rather than using a universal scale.
How does warehouse consolidation work? How long is the wait for a consolidated shipment to depart?
The cargo is received at an agreed facility, after which we check documents, labelling, packaging and whether it can be included in a consolidated leg. Departure frequency and waiting time depend on the direction, volume and schedule; the offer records checkpoints, warehouse operations and an alternative if consolidation is unsuitable.
What should I do with fragile or unusual cargo?
Before calculating, we need photos, dimensions, centre of gravity and carrier requirements. Based on the review, we agree palletising, crating, moisture protection, labelling, photo records and loading restrictions; unusual packaging and work are listed separately when confirmed.
Do you calculate by actual or volumetric weight?
The calculation rule depends on the mode and carrier tariff. For a preliminary estimate, we need the dimensions of each package, gross weight, packaging and pallets; the written offer states the applied basis and units.
Is insurance included in the price?
Insurance is not included automatically. If needed, we agree the insurer, insured amount, risks, exclusions, documents and claims process. The premium is stated under the policy terms without an OZTA markup; price and coverage are determined by the specific policy.
Is customs included in delivery or calculated separately?
Customs charges and clearance services are shown as separate lines. Applicability depends on the HS code, origin, regime, destination country and importer status; the customs authority makes the final assessment.
How do I arrange cargo delivery through OZTA?
In your enquiry, provide origin and destination points, product description, number of packages, weight, dimensions, documents, packaging and desired timing. We will clarify missing information, check route applicability and prepare options with inclusions, exclusions and next steps.
If you need more than transport
If you need purchasing or work by a specialist contractor, we agree it together with delivery. Supplier settlements belong to the order; included work is not paid for twice.
Purchase goods abroad
We check the link, supplier, payment purpose and documents, then agree a separate purchasing and delivery scenario.
Customs clearance
We review the code, regime, permits and broker’s role; charges and release depend on the customs authority.
Supplier payment within an order
We arrange settlements for an agreed purchase or contractor work. Before payment, we define the order subject, OZTA’s role, documents and applicable costs.
