Check your goods
before shipment.

We arrange a batch inspection against agreed requirements. You receive a report with the results and any deviations found.

Start with requirements for a specific goods lot

An inspection needs a specification, agreed sample or clear quality criteria. A general request is not enough.

Product and specifications

We discuss the item number, variant, set contents, dimensions and available checking methods. Functional checks are included only within the agreed program and the provider’s capabilities.

Quantity and sampling

We record the lot size, inspection scope and method of selecting units. The program states whether the entire lot or a sample is checked and which parts of the order remain outside the inspection.

Packaging and labeling

We agree checks of set contents, inner and shipping packaging, labels and package count. Measurements, photographs and other materials depend on the inspection program.

Goods inspection, a factory audit, laboratory testing and loading checks are distinct tasks. A loading check does not replace inspection of the goods lot. Access to the goods and lot readiness are confirmed separately.

Inspection findings to help decide on shipment

Before payment, we will agree the report’s content and timing. It will contain observations, deviations and inspection limits.

Goods lot inspected
Product, order, location, readiness and the actual quantity checked.
What was found
Observations, measurements and deviations from the criteria; photographs or other agreed materials.
What was not checked
Untested characteristics, inaccessible units and limitations of the inspection methods or conditions.
Decision to make
Accept the result, discuss corrections with the supplier or agree an additional check before the next stage.

A sample inspection does not guarantee that the entire lot is free of defects. Inspection does not replace laboratory testing, required approval documents or a factory audit. The shipment decision follows the agreed order terms.

Inspection price based on the program

First, we will agree the programme and obtain a provider quote. The price depends on the country, location, timing, sample and checks.

Provider’s price + OZTA coordination

For separately ordered coordination, we charge 10% of the confirmed price of the provider’s commercial work, with a minimum of $20 per agreed assignment. The minimum applies once to that scope, rather than to each invoice line.

Discuss the program and price

What the proposal shows before payment

  • Program, location, sampling, provider and report preparation timeframe.
  • Provider’s quote, travel and other work included or charged separately.
  • OZTA coordination fee and total price of the agreed assignment.

Calculated separately

Samples and their transport. Testing, factory audits, loading checks and repeat inspections are included only when expressly agreed in the scope. Applicable government charges, import taxes and the insurance premium are excluded from the base for OZTA’s percentage.

Illustrative calculation

Illustrative inspector’s work price
$150
OZTA coordination fee
$20
$150 × 10% = $15. The minimum OZTA fee of $20 applies.
Work + coordination
$170

This illustrates the formula. It is not a current inspection quote for $170. The price is determined by the program and the provider’s proposal. Samples and their transport are paid separately.

Additional inspection or a changed program

If the address, scope, lot readiness or required checks change, we clarify the program and price before making new commitments. An additional visit or repeat inspection is not automatically included in the first inspection.

If coordination is already included in a paid package, there is no second coordination fee. After the initial review, we tell you when the proposal will be ready. Work starts after the provider is confirmed, the full price and terms are agreed, and the relevant stage is paid.

Agree the inspection before the inspector visits

We will check access to the goods, the batch’s readiness and the procedure for deviations.

  1. Describe the lot and criteria

We clarify the goods, quantity, location and readiness for inspection. We gather the specification, packaging requirements, permitted deviations and comparison materials.

  2. Confirm the program and provider

We agree the methods, sampling, access to the lot, quote and report format. Before payment, we record the price, timeframe and what to do if the supplier does not provide access or the lot is not ready.

  3. Review the result before the next stage

Using the report, we discuss deviations found and questions for the supplier. Corrections, a repeat inspection or proceeding with the purchase are agreed separately. New work does not start without your agreement.

Information needed for a proposal

Describe the batch and the main quality questions. If there is no checklist, we will start with your requirements.

  • Product, item numbers, quantity and specification or agreed sample.
  • Country, city, inspection address and supplier contact; lot readiness.
  • What to check, acceptable deviations and whether packaging or functional checks are needed.
  • Available dates, preferred timing for the report, photographs and comparison materials.

We confirm inspector availability and whether the specific checks are possible for the location and goods. An inquiry alone does not confirm a scheduled visit.

Questions about checking goods before shipment

Price, sampling, countries and decisions after the inspection.

How does goods inspection differ from a supplier check?

A documentary check concerns the company, its details and documents. Inspection concerns specific goods or a lot and agreed criteria. Factory audits, testing and loading checks are separate tasks. Their scope and price are confirmed before payment.

How much does a pre-shipment goods inspection cost?

We first need the goods, lot size, location, readiness, required checks and sampling scope. We obtain the provider’s quote for the program and add OZTA’s fee for separate coordination, calculated at 10% of the confirmed price of the commercial work, minimum $20 per agreed assignment. If coordination is already included in a paid package, there is no second fee. Samples and their transport are separate. We state the full price and timeframe before payment. After the initial review, we clarify when the proposal will be ready.

Does inspection guarantee the entire lot is free of defects?

No. The result relates to the actual quantity inspected, agreed criteria and available methods. The program states whether the entire lot or a sample is checked, and the report records the limitations. An ordinary goods inspection does not replace laboratory testing or mandatory import documents.

Can you arrange inspection in China or another country?

Send the country, city, inspection location, goods and checks required. We use these details to clarify provider availability, whether inspection is possible and its price. There is no universal rate or confirmed inspection visit for every country. Specific terms are agreed before payment.

What if deviations are found or the supplier refuses access?

Before payment, we agree what to do if the lot is not ready or access is unavailable. If the inspection finds deviations, we discuss them with you and the supplier to decide whether corrections, a repeat check or stopping the next stage are needed. Inspection alone does not require the supplier to refund money or guarantee compensation. Additional work and further steps are agreed under the order terms.

Every task needs its own result. We can find a company, check its documents or arrange a purchase.
